ABSTRACT

The paper reviews systematically the main ancient medical books with the origin literature included on acupuncture prescription. It is found that the origin literature with acupuncture prescription in successive dynasties mainly focuses on Qin-Han and Jin-Yuan Dynasties. In Jin, Tang and Song Dynasties, as well as Ming and Qing Dynasties, the literature mainly records the experience of medical masters in the previous dynasties. By taking "headache" and "retention of urine" as examples, the origins on the literature of clinical acupuncture prescription are explored, the distribution rules and characteristics are summarized. Moreover, the evidences and evaluation method of quality grading were explored on the ancient books with the origin literature of acupuncture prescription involved.

ABSTRACT

Schistosomiasis is a modern disease name, but it has been widespread in ancient China and exists in a specific form in traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) . The purpose of the paper is to make clear the existing form of schistosomiasis in TCM and infer the prevalence of schistosomiasis in ancient China. The paper focuses on the period when great progress was made on schistosomiasis by TCM, and sums up the understanding of TCM toward schistosomiasis in this period. By studying and analyzing the literature of schistosomiasis in this period, the paper tries to find out the representative Chinese medicine symptom description and TCM "other name" of schistosomiasis, so as to accurately judge whether the relevant description in ancient TCM books and historical documents can provide scientific basis for schistosomiasis. It is important to understand the prevalence and cognition of schistosomiasis in ancient China.

ABSTRACT

Large number of TCM ancient books, the literature, has a long history and complicated contents, including the principles, methods, prescriptions, medicines and other various aspects. How to obtain and make use of knowledge in ancient books, we must establish a set of relatively precise knowledge and semantic relation networks. Knowledge yun performing reasonable rebuilding of TCM literature, containing much TCM knowledge and information, will be an important way for knowledge findings.

ABSTRACT

Objective To investigate the present condition of unique copy of TCM ancient books, and analyze the literature value. Methods Bibliographic research was underwent first, then investigation table was made, investigation team for spot investigation was organized, the bibliography was sorted, and on this basis analysis of the literatures was performed. Results 59 collection units at home and abroad and 1370 unique copy TCM ancient books were investigated, which including 57 books published by photocopy and 37 books published by proof reading. Conclusion The unique copy TCM ancient books have important academic value and can be effectively saved and sorted through in-depth investigation and analysis.

ABSTRACT

In this study, ancient books of traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) herbs were taken as an example to explore methods for knowledge organization of TCM ancient books. The features of herbal knowledge in ancient books were systematically analyzed. The concept type and semantic relation of herbal knowledge in ancient books were defined. Based on the original data of ancient herbal books, the knowledge organization of analysis, concept classification and association were formed, in order to discuss the knowledge service mode of TCM ancient book based on knowledge organization.
